SYPT 2013 Singapore Young Physicists Tournament 

1. 2013 SYPT Details (from organizer)
• Questions:
• Selection question "Invent Yourself": All teams to submit a report in Nov 2012. Based on report, 8 schools would be selected for the finals on 26 Jan 2013.  
• Category B questions 1 to 8 (Sec 4 or below): For finals in Jan 2013, each team may prepare all questions for physics fight.
2. Internal selection for SYPT 2013
• 2 teams of 3 students each would be selected to represent the school.
• Students who sign up would be given a task each (via email) to submit a Proposal which includes 
• doing literature research and
• proposing experiments for investigation (like Sec 3 SIA)
• Students are to do the task individually and submit a hardcopy of Proposal latest by Monday 27 August 3 pm to Mr Ang's pigeonhole (E4 outside Science Staffroom) or via email.
• The Proposal would be marked to assess you for selection
• An interview may be conducted as well. 
• Your BT results and your physics teachers' recommendations may also be considered
• Shortlisted students would be notified via email.

• International Young Physicists Tournament (IYPT)

• Singapore clinched 3rd position and was awarded gold medal at IYPT 2012 
• Singapore's IYPT performance since 2009
